用一個詞來概括首飾對我的意義，就是永無止境。
To sum up what jewellery means to me in one word, it would be: unending.
為了祝賀我18歲生日和高中畢業，我的父母給我買了一個18K Trinity金戒指禮物，戒指的三重顏色分別為紅色、白色和黃色。2004年在我高中生涯裡的最後一天，最後一次期末考試結束後，我就把這枚戒指戴到我的左手拇指上並至今從沒改變過。因為它對我來說象徵著家庭、愛和回憶，所以我除了醫療這種非必要問題之外我每天都會戴著它。
My parents had given me a tri-gold Russian band ring as an 18th birthday/graduation gift, its 18 carat gold in the colours red white, and yellow. in 2004. On the last day of our final examination, which also marked the end of my high school career, I had put it on my left thumb, and it's been there ever since. I never take it off, because it symbolises family, love, and memories for me. I'm proud to wear it every day, the only times I've taken it off, were for medical reasons.

這枚戒指總讓我記起跟家人的點點滴滴：我可以生動的回憶起媽媽和我一邊玩鬧一邊做週末的午餐，我能聞到來自工作室的木屑味和我爸爸的古龍水味，聽到哥哥為了給最喜歡的橄欖球隊或板球隊打氣時貫穿全屋的喝采聲。戴上它就彷彿我的家人在我身邊陪伴著我，這也是為什麼它對我如此珍貴。
這枚戒指一直陪伴著我，它幫助我自己在任何情況下心靈和精神上都得以腳踏實地，它伴隨我走過人生中最可怕和最快樂的時光——哥哥的謀殺、一段受虐的關係、從那個受虐關係解脫出來、收養了我美麗的混血小狗Jack-Russell、跨越半個世界搬到香港和遇到我未來的丈夫，這件飾品真的是我經歷了多少它就見證了多少。在我做出每一個艱難的決定、每一個祈禱，每一個願望，它都在那裡給予我無窮的力氣，使我得以茁壯成長，處理人生中的悲傷和痛苦。對於我來說，它已經不僅僅是一塊金，這枚戒指和我一起走過海洋、河流、意外和生活，它是我集愛、寬恕和自由為一體的魔法。
This band always reminds me of family, I can picture my mum and I being silly while cooking Sunday lunch. I can smell the woodchips from the workshop and my dad's cologne. I can hear my brother's voice roaring through the house as he urges his favourite rugby or cricket team on. I feel like with it on, it’s kind of like my family are around me all the time and that is why it is so precious to me
For me, it's the way to ground myself in any situation. It's been with me and helped me through all the most horrible and happiest times of my life - my brother's murder, an abusive relationship, my emancipation from said abusive relationship, adopting my beautiful mix-breed Jack-Russell, moving halfway across the world, meeting my (hopefully) future-husband. I love this piece so much, solely because of how much I've been through as a human being. It's helped me make tough decisions, helped me pray, helped me wish, helped me thrive, deal with grief and pain. It's so much more than just a piece of gold, this ring has gone into oceans, rivers, accidents and life with me, to me it's a piece of magic, of love, forgiveness, freedom.
