Cuttlefish Bone Textured Signet Ring by Belinda Chang
Casting has long been a staple in the art of fabrication, in silversmithing we have a unique technique; that is, cuttlefish casting.
Cuttlefish casting is an ancient silversmithing technique, utilising the “bone” of squid-like mollusk as mould to create multiples. What makes this casting methodology unique though, is that the creations are never perfect replicas, but recreated with the organic texture of the cuttlebone.
Material: Sterling silver
Kindly note that each piece may look slightly different due to the crafting process. Feel free to request pictures of all available stock for your consideration.
